Jen is speaking on a couple of panels:
5.30pm - 6.25pm Wednesday 2nd July at Speakers Corner
Models for small-scale local meat and the infrastructure we need - Are you keen to work with livestock and sell direct to your community? Wondering how to make it work? We’re seeing an uptick in the number of people wanting to run high-welfare local livestock small-scale, often in tandem with other farm products but we’re also experiencing rapid loss of the necessary infrastructure.
3pm - 3.55pm Thursday 3rd July at The Study
Nuffield Farming: Leading positive change in regen ag - The Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust has been giving people the opportunity to travel and explore farming systems all over the world for over 75 years. As a result many scholars have delved deep into different regen farming practices, often leading to a mindset shift that can be life-changing for them both personally and professionally.
Jen is a Nuffield Sch 2014 – growing and marketing fine wool in native colours. Fernhill Farm Experience developed from alternative green-living gatherings to welcoming over 500,000 visitors onto the land, as a “cash crop”. Converting the Horseshoe Barn started our weekend weddings and was my catalyst for change. I knew that whoever came down our drive had to have a positive environmental impact, and my Nuffield scholarship provided this opportunity for change.
